Company files, with the page attached
Ask a work question. See the page it came from.
Pagebay is for teams whose answers already live in documents, tickets, and chat. You ask a work question. You get a short answer and the exact page, so you can check the source before you reply.

The answer is already written. Finding the current page takes too long.
People do not need another place to store files. They need a way to ask a question and land on the page that is actually in force.
The rule is in three places
Support checks a policy, a ticket, and a chat thread before writing one reply. One of those is usually out of date.
Sales walks in cold
The last promise to a customer is buried in a note from last week. The call starts while someone is still searching.
New people interrupt the same teammate
The answer was written down. The search box returns twenty files, so the new person asks whoever looks least busy.
One question, three pages, one rule.
Priya Raman in operations asks about a late harbor delivery. The preview answers from the policy, the ticket, and the support chat, and it names each one.

Which refund rule applies when a harbor delivery arrives late?
Use the 14-day refund window on page 6 of the Freight Care Policy. The delay notice for Harbor Mills went out after pickup, so the harbor rule applies. Inland delays still use the 10-day window.
Ticket NF-1842 says Jonah Park sent the Harbor Mills notice on October 2, after the truck left. Mara Ellison repeated that timing in #west-support on October 3. The policy page was edited the same day: harbor delays moved from 10 days to 14 days. Inland delays were not changed.

How a question becomes a checked answer
1
Point at the files
The intended product reads the shared drive, ticket desk, and team chat a company already uses. This site does not connect those tools.
2
Ask the question
Type it the way you would ask a coworker. In the sample, Priya asks which refund rule covers a late harbor delivery.
3
Read the answer and the page
You get a short reply plus the file name and page. Open that page before you act on the answer.
4
Share it with the right people
Someone who cannot open a file should not receive an answer drawn from that file. The sample leaves payroll out of Priya’s result.

Payroll rates folder
Priya cannot open this folder, so Pagebay does not use it in her answer.
An answer is only useful if the person can open the page.
Pagebay is meant to follow the access a company already set. If Priya cannot open payroll, payroll does not appear in her answer and is not used as a source.
Show the edit when the page changed.
On October 2 the harbor rule moved from 10 days to 14 days. Inland delays stayed at 10. A blended sentence would hide that. The preview shows both lines.

Before
Late harbor deliveries use a 10-day refund window.
After
Late harbor deliveries use a 14-day refund window.
Inland delays stay on the 10-day window.
The same files, four jobs.
These are example tasks, not customer stories. Northline Freight is sample data.
Support
Pick the refund rule before writing the customer.
The reply quotes page 6, not a half-remembered window.
Sales
Check what was promised before the call.
The ticket shows the notice went out after pickup.
Operations
See which delay rule is current.
The edit on October 2 is visible, so the old 10-day line is not reused.
Someone new
Learn the rule without interrupting Mara.
The page is attached, so the question does not live only in one person’s head.
The answer stays next to the file.

Questions people ask first
What is Pagebay?
Pagebay is a preview of a tool that answers a work question from a company’s own documents, tickets, and chat, then shows the page the answer came from.
Who is it for?
People who have to answer from files the company already has. That includes support, sales, operations, and anyone new who does not know which document is current.
Does sign up create an account?
Create an account or sign in. The workspace is behind that login.
Are the pictures from a real company?
No. Northline Freight, the people, and the files in the pictures are fictional. They are there so you can see the product idea with one consistent example.
Can I connect my company’s files on this site?
No. This site does not connect to documents, chat, or tickets. The pictures show the workflow the product is meant to support.
Why does an answer leave some files out?
A person should only get an answer from files they can already open. In the sample, Priya Raman can open the Freight Care Policy and cannot open the payroll folder, so payroll is left out.
Who built this?
Pagebay is an independent project preview. No founder name, photo, or biography was supplied, so the Team page does not invent one.
